What's changed in Menchmark

Homework marks, per-subject scores, Class Strikes, and a seating chart the back row can read

This is the biggest update since the summer. Most of it came straight from rebbeim who use Menchmark every day.

• Homework has four marks: ✓ full credit, P partial credit, I incomplete, ✗ not checked. Select Homework Checked, pick which mark a scan gives, and the seats light up green, yellow, red and grey. Record → Homework Checked
• A Homework tab on every boy's ⓘ card. See each day he handed in and fix any day with one tap. His percentage stays hidden until you ask for it.
• The Gradebook's spreadsheet shows homework as TRUE / FALSE, with PARTIAL and INCOMPLETE spelled out and a percentage at the end. You choose what partial credit is worth. Settings → Homework
• Scores and coin mode can be set per subject. One class can pay Gemara in coins and Davening in points, and every total stays correct.
• Class Strikes. One count the whole room shares, with a counter you can keep on screen. You choose what to call it and whether a strike also takes a point.
• Bigger names and points on the seating chart, so the boys can read their own score from the back of the room. Seating chart → Setup & arrange
• Your coin ladder is yours. Rename a coin, change its value or colour, or add and remove coins to match what your yeshiva uses. Settings → Shulchani Mode
• Reset bathroom passes from the Record tab. It resets only the class you're looking at.
• A repeat bathroom pass can cost points instead of being refused.
• Chavrusa on the seating chart. Name your teams, give points to a whole team with one tap, and at the end give each boy his team's total, a share, or an amount you choose. Seating chart → Chavrusa ▾
• Taking points away has its own sound, so you can hear the difference. The buzz is kept for a scan that didn't work.
• The old Homework page is gone. You mark homework by scanning, and fix it in the Gradebook or on the boy's ⓘ card. It's the same record with one less screen.

• Restoring never replaces your class without keeping a copy first, and both sides now show dates, so an older backup can't quietly win over newer work. A class with photos now gets the same "put it back" button.
• You can now put the same boys in a second class.
• If the app was left open overnight, attendance now moves to today instead of staying on yesterday.
• Printed QR codes are sharper.
• Typing a Custom amount and pressing + or − now gives exactly that amount.

Traffic lights, three-scan attendance, and Yes/No cards

Run more of the class from wherever you're standing.

• Traffic Light Warnings. A boy's seat changes colour as warnings land on him. It's off until you turn it on.
• Attendance in three scans of one card: scan once to mark, again to finish the roll, and a third time to email it.
• Yes / No scan codes let you answer a question on screen without walking to the computer.
• Fixing a wrong attendance mark is one tap, and each boy's attendance is on one card.
• Combining two backups can be undone for 14 days afterwards.
• A bigger scan banner that stays up longer, if you want it.
• Avery 8395 name badges are now a print option.

Automatic folder backup and the seat ⓘ button

• Automatic folder backup: one click gets you a dated copy of your class every day.
• Every seat has an ⓘ button for a point breakdown, a manual adjustment, and that boy's own history.
• The Dashboard can show the current period and how much time is left.
• Restoring a backup can combine it with what's already there, which helps if you use two computers.
• "This week" now starts on Sunday, matching the school week.
